Avene Cleanance Gel Review (Soapless Cleanser)

Anyeong~

I am excited to introduce my first ever must have beauty item. This is the cleanser that I used to  use during my teenage year however I stopped due to my limited budget. It is a great cleanser. I recently use this product again and voila I think I won't be changing cleanser again anytime soon, I have tried many but this is the best cleanser ever. If you haven't try this product you are missing out something superb.

I got mine from Sasa outlet during promotion for RM50.45  (200ml) normal price RM56.05 at Sasa.

This cleanser also known as soap-less cleanser. The brand Avene is from France and their products is well known to specialize in sensitive skin. I think their most famous product would be the face mist which I reviewed before here

Clear plastic bottle packing 200ml

Ingredients

To close and open twist to left / right

What I like about this cleanser:
  • Skin feels clean and supple
  • Skin immediately looks brighter and smooth
  • Value for money - great quality

What I don't like about this cleanser:
  • Pump dispenser would be more convenient, but I really like this product, I can't complain because what matter is the cleanser does great to my skin

You must try this product if you haven't. This cleanser is officially my "Holy Grail".

Officially my must have beauty item

O'slee Clear Spa Sleeping Mask Review

Anyeong ~

This is another review of my favorite item. It's from O'slee range called Clear Spa Sleeping Mask. At first I did not like this mask because the mask stick on my pillow case, but later on I found a way to solve this, keep on reading to find out. I purchased this item from Guardian RM50.90 for 50ml, okay it's exclusively available at Guardian outlet, also available online at sasa and oslee website.

Description on the packing

Hydrating : Spa Moisturizing Factor (SMF) provides non-stop hydration to skin which enhancing skin revitalizing action overnight.
Relaxing : The natural scent of rose helps realize relaxation and nice sleep. And skin becomes receptive to nutrients and moisture from skincare products.
Anti-Oxidant : Newly added Licorice Extract and Vitamin E avoid skin from oxidation and provide skin with extra moisture overnight.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Rosehip extract, Allantoin, 1,3–Butanediol, Glycerin, Lubrajel LG, Proteasyl, VB5 Vitamin E, C-940 Licorice extract, Humecto Am-20, Triethanolamine, Germall plus, Perfume

I almost finish this mask

The mask is gel like but not runny, it's lightly sticky kind of consistency, oil free and have a scent of rose hip, similar scent like the rest of their products, the color is aqua blue marine like.

My thoughts:
At first when I use this mask I don't like it, basically you need to apply this mask on your face before bed, the mask actually stick on my pillow and it's a mess and sticky - very uncomfortable. After a while I didn't use it, one day I decided to re-use this but apply it at night time for few hours while watching TV and doing my things, then wash it off. And it really hydrates my skin. I use it that way thereafter.

What I like about this products:
  • Skin feels moisturized, supple and smooth after used.
  • Oil free

What I don't like about products:
  • I don't like using it as overnight mask because of the stickiness, mess and uncomfortable
  • I finish this mask fairly quick because I applied them quite thick on my face, I wish the content were more.

Overall I really like this mask because it really hydrates my skin. I recommend this mask for those who wanted to hydrates their skin. I rate this mask a full 5/5 stars, it's one of my favorite item of the year.

I award this item my favorite item of the year :)

Hada Labo AHA+BHA Facial Wash Review

Anyeong ~

This is a review of my favorite facial cleanser to date. It's called Hada Labo AHA+BHA Facial Wash. I bought from Cosway for RM27 plus (130g), cheaper from buying at Watson which is about RM32 plus (130g). I noticed recently that they have this facial wash in liquid version, which I have never try yet. This is cream like version.

The packing in plastic tube

Description on packing:

  • Gently exfoliate skin to remove impurities, dirt and oil trapped in pores.
  • Polishes away dullness and refines skin's textures for visibly clear skin, smooth and radiant skin.
  • Skin PH balanced, low irritation.
  • Free of fragrance, mineral oil, alcohol and colorant.

Ingredients

If you don't already know, AHA is Alpha Hydroxy Acid, mainly for removing dead skin cells. BHA is Beta Hydroxy Acid work to reduce fine lines, stimulate collogen and firm skin. Okay, the ingredients does contain paraben, I noticed most Hada Labo products contained paraben. If you don't already know paraben ingredient in skincare made headlines because paraben is found to be exist in cancer cell. Thus there were scare / suspected that paraben might cause cancer. (Paraben is used in skincare mainly as preservatives) Thus many skincare lines now stating in their product paraben free. Although there are still many arguments on this issue, for me personally I am still neutral on this. But of course those products that paraben free which usually expensive have more advantages, because people feel safer / worry free using it, even though this might not been proven 100% yet.

All in all, I really like this facial wash, it's one of my favorite cleanser to date, because my skin feel squeaky clean and supple moist after used. Doesn't feel taut and drying at all.

What I like about this product:
  • Skin feels squeaky clean
  • Skin feels moist and supple after used

What I don't like about this product:

  • I wish it lather up more, don't get me wrong, it does lather up quite well, but I wish it would lather up more/richer
I rate this product 4/5

Dr. G BB Cream Review

Anyeong~

This is the BB cream that I am using now, it's called Dr. G BB Cream - origin from Korea. This is my second tube which I purchased from SASA during promotion for around RM98.00 for 2 tubes; it's 45ml per tube. During non-promotion it's RM69.00 per tube.

Since I have been using this BB cream quite a while and almost finishing this second tube, I figure I should give this BB a review before I finishing it :P, I will move on to try other BB cream after this since I really like experimenting varieties of BB Cream out there.

For those who haven't come across this BB, a brief into on this BB cream is one of among many famous BB cream in the market and got SPF 30 PA++, we love sun screen protection don't we. :)

The packing, note on it Asia best seller

Another different view of the packing

Ingredients mentioned on the packing

RM69.00 per tube at SASA

Picture of Before (left) and After (right) applying the BB cream, notice that the mosquito bite mark and dark spot is less visible after application. Also note the swatch of the BB Cream on the right picture.

My thoughts about this BB Cream:
This BB Cream provide goof coverage for acne scars, dark spots and pigmentation. Dr. G BB only have one shade. This BB is moisturizing and have average oil control, no strong fragrance - in fact I don't really notice any fragrance.

What I like about this BB Cream:

  • Quite decent coverage on dark spots and acne scars.
  • SPF 30PA++
  • Brighten skin tone
  • Leave skin supple and moist
  • Affordable if compare to Dr. Jart price tag

What I don't like about this BB Cream:

  • Oil control average

................

Coverage 4/5
I rate the coverage 4/5 as this BB can cover minor flaws on my face.

Oil Control 3/5
Oil control is not so strong, most about 3 hours, anyhow this really depends on your skin type, since I have oily combination skin, without the loose powder or pressed powder touch to set the BB, my face will look oily on the T zone.

Spread-ability 4/5
The texture of the BB cream is  not too thick nor too thin, just nice for me and it's easy to spread. However if too thick it will look too bright for my skin tone.

Finnish 4/5
The finish is dewy on me, since I layer on many other skin care regime before the BB cream.

Overall 4/5
Overall I find this BB cream is good but not the best yet. I will not re-purchase at the moment and still in the hunt to try out more BB cream. My overall rating for this BB Cream is 4/5.

Elianto Natural Mineral Loose Powder Review

Anyeong~

I just bought the Elianto natural mineral loose powder, original priced at RM33.00 now they are having a promo 50% off, so I only paid for RM16.50, go check out their store if you are interested - they are having some promo for some items at the moment.

They have a few shades and I selected shade number 2, number 1 is the lightest shade they have.

This is the packing look like

Description on the packing

The powder puff included inside

My thoughts about this loose powder:
Check out the ingredients stated on the packing above, contain talc and also corn starch haha... can't believe I put corn starch on my face, ingredients that available in the kitchen - that I use for cooking sometimes. If you have sensitive skin, this might not be suitable for you. Also no fragrant in the ingredients, so no smell whatsoever.  This loose powder gives a matte finishing.

What I like about this product:
  • Set make up
  • Cheap / affordable

What I don't like about this product:
  • The powder puff very rough
  • Oil control so so, need to touch up time to time (this depends on your skin type, I have oily combination skin)
Overall will not re-purchase.

Rating

Coverage 2/5
Very minimum coverage, I have some acne scars on my face which is visible even after putting on BB cream and using this loose powder alone without a good concealer still doesn't do a good coverage, so I rate coverage wise 2/5.

Oil Control 2/5
This depends on your skin type, I have Oily combination skin type, so oil control wise need touch up once in a while, probably 2-3 hours once.

Spread-ability 4/5
The powder puff is very low quality and rough, not suitable for sensitive skin, anyway if you use good quality make up brush - should be much easier.

Finnish 4/5
This depends on what you are looking for. This gives a matte finish, if you are looking for dewy finish - you need to look for those wet-dry cushion powder I think.

Overall, this product is still value for money if you just paying RM16.50 I don't usually use powder on my face too often because I am worried that it will clog my pores, although many are claiming non-clog, it's better to to use too often as it will lead to skin problems later. basically I will not re-purchase this item again.

The packing and mask in super cute glass jar :)

Come with free cleansing sponge and mask stick

Directions on the packing

This mask can be applied on wet skin or dry skin. I think using on wet skin will promote the moisturizing effect and applying on dry skin will promote the exfoliating effect. The cleansing sponge is very useful to help for better cleansing.

Ingredients

Functions of the mask

Close up on the cute jar

It is encouraged to used up the mask within 9 months after opening it and don't let water enter the mask or it will ruin the mask

Sealed to ensure freshness

A yummy skin meal... it smells so delicious  - (caution: not food, do not eat ;) haha...)

On wet skin the mask melts, on dry skin it works on exfoliating dead skins

Demo on my left hand, before skin look dull after used skin is more brighter

My thoughts:
The mask smells so delicious, it smell like brown sugar and honey. This mask can be used on wet or dry skin, I prefer to use it on wet skin as it can maximize the benefits of moisturizing my skin. I used it on my wet face and gently massage the mask in circular motion and the mask melts after a few seconds and I washed it off after 10 minutes. Below are my comments on each functions per say of the mask:

Peeling
Not totally sure if it does peeling, but the mask does make my skin brighter.

Whitening
Yes, skin look brighter after use.

Moisturizing
Agree - my skin feel supple and moist after used.

Removes blackheads
Not working on visible blackheads.

Refines pores
Pores still visible, made not much difference.

Oil control
Skin feels clean after towel dried.

What I like about this mask:
  • Cute packing
  • Skin feels moist and supple after used
  • Brighten skin
  • Exfoliate dead skins
  • Smell delicious
  • Come with free cleansing sponge and spoon

What I don't like about this mask:
  • Left oily film layer on skin due to oil based ingredients, but it does goodness to skin

My rating for this product is 4 out of 5 stars. Overall happy with the result. :)
